Delicious Walnut Cake

This recipe is from the Apetit magazine.



Recipe:

For dough:
- 31/2oz butter
- 6oz spelt flour
- 3oz brown sugar
- 1 yolk (keep the white - you will need it in the filling)

For filling:
- 3 eggs
- 31/2oz brown sugar
- 6oz ground walnuts

Grease the cake tin or place the parchment into it.
Soften the butter and add the flour and sugar and yolk. Mix it well and then place 2/3 dough into the tin and press the dough with your fingers and make an edge (about 1cm high). Put it into the fridge and the rest of dough into the freezer.

Heat the oven to 350F.

Put the yolks, sugar and walnuts into a bowl. Beat all the whites. Then stir all together and pour it over the dough. Take dough from the freezer and grate in over the cake.

Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Once baked, let it cool and serve it.
