Millet Cake

This is a delicious cake and when you eat it you can't be filled with remorse for how much you've eaten because it's healthy cake! It consists of some delicious, healthy ingredients, so let's look at it.








Inspired from Blog Kitchenette

For the cake:
- 150g/5oz millet
- 750ml/25fl.oz milk
- 4-10 tbsp agave syrup
- 250g/9oz prune butter
- 7 small apples
- 80g/3oz raisins
- 3tbsp cornstarch
- 2tbsp cinnamon powder
- a pinch of salt

Rinse the millet under hot water. Pour milk into a larger saucepan, add the millet and agave syrup. Simmer until the millet soaks the milk up. Then set aside.


Remove the cores of the apples and grate them. Combine apples with cinnamon powder, cornstrach and raisins.



Preheat the oven to 180C/ 350F.

Then grease the cake tin. Put half the millet porridge into the tin, then half the plum jam, then all the grated apples, then the other half of the plum jam and millet porridge. Bake for about 40 minutes and at the end of baking you can turn on grill.
